V.i. Labs Taps Enterprise Software Veteran to Lead Continued Growth in Global Markets
Jim Nauen Joins as Vice President of Global Sales to Help ISVs Recover Revenue Lost to Software Piracy
WALTHAM, MA—November 1, 2010—The leading software intelligence solutions provider, V.i. Laboratories, Inc. (“V.i. Labs”), today announced that Jim Nauen has been appointed Vice President of Global Sales to drive further development of the company’s channel expansion strategy and revenue recovery services internationally. Nauen will also lead the worldwide direct sales team for major ISV accounts as well as an inside sales group that will focus on GetVisi, V.i. Labs’ SaaS software intelligence offerings for small- to mid-size Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Nauen brings deep experience executing effective and aggressive sales growth strategies for enterprise software organizations, having previously served in senior executive sales positions at Planon, Centage, StreamServe and 2WAY Corporation. He started his software sales career at CA after receiving his bachelor of arts from Syracuse University. He also holds a master’s in business administration from Boston University.
“We’re in a position now where software providers around the world are recognizing the effectiveness and ROI of forensic software intelligence tools like CodeArmor Intelligence over whistleblower alternatives,” said Joseph Noonan, president and CEO of V.i. Labs. “Jim Nauen is a great addition to our team and brings both the experience and energy needed to scale our business globally.”
“Recovering revenue from infringing organizations running pirated software is the largest new business opportunity for many software companies in 2011. The growing awareness among software vendors of piracy’s impact on their specific business has set the stage for greater expansion of our direct, SaaS and channel strategy,” added Nauen. “The opportunities in this market are ripe, and I look forward to tackling them head-on.”
V.i. Labs customers have uncovered more than $660 million in piracy revenue pipeline to-date by deploying CodeArmor Intelligence into their applications.
