Bart Hanlon Joins V.i. Labs as Vice President of Engineering
Industry Veteran to Spearhead Product Development, Design of Next-Generation Software
Protection Solutions
Waltham, MA — January 17, 2008 - V.i. Laboratories, Inc. (“V.i. Labs”), a
provider of software protection solutions for securing high-value and mission-critical
applications, announced that Bart Hanlon, a software industry veteran with more
than 25 years of experience in Enterprise, Internet, and distributed computing areas,
has joined the company as vice president of engineering.
“Bart has an extensive background in software engineering and product development
expertise,” said Joe Noonan, president and CEO, V.i. Labs. “He has demonstrated
strong management instincts by providing leadership, focused product delivery, attention
to customer satisfaction and engineering team growth throughout his career, and
we are ecstatic to have him on our team.”
Most recently, Hanlon was the Vice President of Engineering at PanGo Networks where
he led the development of PanGo Locator – the industry leading location management
platform. He was responsible for growing the engineering team from one engineer
to a staff of twenty that included full-time staff as well as outside consultants
and an off-shore development team in India. PanGo was acquired by Innerwireless
in March 2007.
Hanlon has served in various other engineering executive level positions with companies
including BEA, Hewlett Packard, Mercator Software, and Novera Software. His software
development background includes senior developer positions at Hewlett Packard, Apollo
Computer, Wang Laboratories, and Honeywell Information Systems.
Hanlon is a graduate of Framingham State College with a BS in Computer Science.
He lives in Harvard, MA.
