V.i. Labs’ Partnership with StrikeIron Enhances CodeArmor Intelligence Capabilities
Automated Information, Resources Now Available for Companies to Recoup Lost Revenue
WALTHAM, Mass — January 22, 2009 - V.i. Laboratories, Inc. (“V.i. Labs”),
a provider of software protection solutions for securing high-value and mission-critical
applications, today announced a strategic partnership with StrikeIron to automate
and enhance the piracy use data captured through V.i. Labs’ CodeArmor® Intelligence. ISVs using CodeArmor Intelligence
can now accelerate and streamline the cycle time of recouping revenue from companies
illegally using their software.
CodeArmor Intelligence is the first turnkey piracy detection and reporting system
that integrates with vendors’ applications and offers a dynamic method to audit
the use of pirated applications, quantify piracy adoption and create leads for sales,
compliance or legal teams. The partnership with StrikeIron takes the information
companies can gather to another level by populating additional fields with precise
company information obtained through its Gale Group Business Intelligence Web Service.
“CodeArmor Intelligence customers using StrikeIron will see a dramatic increase
in actionable information that until now had to be collected manually,” said Bob
Brauer, president and co-founder of StrikeIron. “This is especially true when dealing
with international companies suspected of stealing software: the information is
often much harder to obtain, and therefore presents a longer cycle time for revenue
recovery.”
“Working with StrikeIron gives our customers real-time access to Gale data for increased
business intelligence in their fight against software pirates around the world,”
said Victor DeMarines, vice president of Products at V.i. Labs. “The more information
at their disposal the better the possibility they have of taking direct action to
recover their intellectual property and their revenue.”
