Industry Veterans Jack Hembrough and David Curran Join Board of Directors
Waltham, MA — February 13, 2007 —V.i. Laboratories,
Inc. (“V.i. Labs”), a provider of software protection solutions for securing high-value
and mission-critical applications, announced today the addition of two new members
to its board of directors. Effective January 30, David Curran and Jack Hembrough
will join the Board and provide expertise and guidance as V.i. Labs continues to
penetrate new markets with innovative security solutions.

Jack Hembrough is the chairman of the board for Application Security, Inc., based
in New York City. Jack came to Application Security from Authentica, Inc., a provider
of enterprise digital rights management technology, later purchased by EMC Corporation.

vice president of worldwide sales for SafeNet, Inc. a publicly-traded encryption
technology company that provided chips and software to fuel the VPN equipment marketplace.
Prior to SafeNet, Jack started aswas a first round hire at Raptor Systems, maker
of the first Internet firewall, where he built-up the global reseller channel, then
created Raptor’s European organization headquartered in Amsterdam. Previously, he
held management positions with Network Systems and with Motorola/Codex, and has
served in the USAF.
Dave Curran is currently president and CEO of Data Communique, a Havas technology
company based in northern New Jersey. Data Communique provides content and process
management solutions for complex communications at the convergence of marketing
and compliance. He was formerly group president of Vertis, Inc., a leading marketing
services company. As group president, Mr. Curran headed up the nation's largest
automated digital solutions business. A lawyer by training, he has also held senior
legal positions with Campbell Soup Company and Reader's Digest. He is a strategic
advisor to Rockford Capital and other investment groups on potential and existing
investments.
