SOPA: A step in the right direction but ultimately misses the mark

Dialog around the issue of piracy at both the public and government levels is good. It’s a step in the right direction. The legislation itself, however, is misguided and has no chance for success as a tool to stamp out piracy. Therefore, we do not support it in its current form.

Survey reveals culture of indifference toward software piracy in UK businesses

FAST polled UK office workers about their attitudes toward pirated software and the use of unlicensed software in the workplace. An “astonishing” 49 percent simply didn’t care if the software they used at work was legally licensed or not. Less than a quarter of all respondents would consider reporting piracy.
